Reviews of Sharing (1991)

Review by okura (2004-12-04)
The ultimate climax to the series, this book was the most amazing of the series.

Told from the perspective of a human, Sharon, aka, Sharing, is a deaf girl from birth, who discovers the bone in her ears that causes her deafness acts as a tuning fork for the songs of whales and dolphins, allowing her to 'hear' what they say.

Unlike the other stories, which are told by characters such as dolphins, this story is told by humans, so there is some comic relief that is good...

In this story, it recaps the events of both previous stories and expands to the final ending of the story. Characters such as Harmony and Laughter Ring from the first stories reappear, and we get the final answers to questions the first books raise.

Harmony's plot to destroy all man-kind, the conclave, the truth of the Narwhal and how Harmony's song ends are all shockers that people will not expect...

This is one of the most amazing stories I have ever read... I doubt I will ever read anything as moving as this series again...
