Reviews of Catch Me (2012)
Review by michael a draper (2012-05-07)
Boston homicide detective D.D. Warren has just become a mother and is basking in the joy of motherhood. She's approached by a woman who wants Warren to investigate her killing when she's murdered in four days.
Charlene Rosalund Carter Grant tells D.D. that in the last two years, at 8:00 p.m. on January 21st her best friends have been murdered and now it's her turn.
We witness the countdown to the character's expected death where according to her, there is nothing she can do to prevent it.
A parallel story involves D.D. and her unit investigating a number of killings of pedophiles.
Gardner adds a number of plot twists which keep the reader guessing about the outcome while adding to the enjoyment of the story.
