Reviews of Oath of Office (2012)
Review by michael a draper (2012-02-21)
When stressed out Dr. John Meacham goes on a shooting spree, killing patients and co-workers, Dr. Lou Welcome is blamed.
Lou had been overseeing his friend at Physicians Wellness after Meacham had a problem with alcohol and exhibited an anger problem with a patient.
As the story progresses, a number of characters exhibit unexplained anger that seems to come out of nowhere and sometimes end in fatalities.
Lou meets Dr. Darlene Mallory, the First Lady and they bond together looking for answers.
The characters are realistically portrayed. Lou's thirteen-year-old daughter, Emily, is a charmer.
The plot is laid out nicely with some interesting surprises. I found the book enjoyable and recommend it to those who enjoy medical thrillers and good suspense.
