Reviews of Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator (1972)

Review by gibsonj338 (2007-02-19)
After have read the book, all I can say this book is a sequel to the book "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." It is not as good as "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and the story is very short. So short that Roald Dahl had to ramble on just to keep the book approximately the same number of pages as "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." I wish that this book is made into a movie just like "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" was made into two movies entilled "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." It would be cool but whoever owns the rights to the book, after Roald Dahl's passing, won't let movie companies film the book, which I can see why. They are afraid that the movie will be runioned just like "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory's" "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" was runioned. Overall, I would recommend reading this book only if you enjoyed "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and don't like skipping books in a series, but don't expect anything more out of this book like you will out of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."
