Reviews of Strangers in Death (2008)
Review by johnafair (2008-05-23)
If this doesn't seem rather a contradiction, this starts out as quite an amusing tale of death and murder in 2060 New York.
Thomas Anders' death might have amused the press and the general public but Eve Dallas is never amused by death. Unfortunately, the case isn't going anywhere - the grieving widow doesn't quite seem to as grieving as she she should be but she's away on a girly weekend when her hubby gets nailed and all the other leads fade away equally quickly.
As Dallas makes her way through New York's darker corners, she meets such entertaining characters as Tiko the hustling entrepreneur (aged ten!), who had his sights firmly set on being the next Rourke but finally the perp is brought to justice and Dallas' ghosts can be laid to rest for a while longer.
