A dark and gloomy world in the midst of the worst possible environmental catastrophy. Written during the beginning of the environmental movement, the story sets the reader vividly into a traumatically destroyted earth. The main character is a man who fell deeply in a society that is totally rotten in a way he could never imagine before. He gets a second chance and arranges with his new life away from his old home.

He meets a woman from an organisation which prefers a final ending in a global war to the beginning of a promising new hope. Which choice is better?
