A lovely fairytale with delightful illustrations
by Charles Vess. Lillian is an orphan who lives with her aunt and has always wanted to see fairies. One day she falls asleep under the The Apple Tree Man and is bitten by a snake. To keep her from dying, the feral cats which she has always fed, change her into a kitten. I loved this book. Orginally, I bought it for my grandchildren and kept it for myself.
