Reviews of Savage Gorge, the (2006)
Review by dave d (2007-10-05)
I read The Savage Gorge whilst on holiday. How disapointed I was! The story line is quite quaint and seemed as though it had been written 50 years ago but for the mention of mobile phones. The story line was quite bizarre and just didn't live with the real world. The nearest thing I can relate it to is reading an Enid Blyton novel about a UK detective who in the search for a murderer kills and hides several suspects or accomplices. The ending beggars belief and I must admit if I had had anything else to read I would have given the book up after the first couple of chapters. I believe this was the last book Colin Forbes wrote so I can only assume it was poorly researched due to his failing health but having seen a snippet of a couple of his other books I will be staying with other writers!
