This is the first book in the Goosebumps series by R.L. Stine. All I can say is after have read this book as a teenager, this Goosebumps book is not as good as the others but is still worth the read. Why would anyone sell their house to move to another town that they don't know anything about just because the house in the other town is for free? Why would anyone give the house to you for free? That just wouldn't happen in the real world. R.L. Stine gets better with his writing with this series as the books progress.
