Reviews of Strange Highways (1995)
Review by robokop (2009-07-26)
This book was of course a collections of shorts stories and a couple are considered novels due to their length. The story titled Strange Highways itself was worth reading this collection for. It has an eerie quality to it. It's one of those stories where a person gets a chance to correct bad decisions that were made over a lifetime. The characters were great (especially the antagonist) and the prose was well written. It was my favorite of all the stories. Some of the others I enjoyed were Chase, Trapped, and Hardshell. The stories that I wasn't too thrilled with were We Three and Twilight of the Dawn.
They were all worth reading for one aspect of another. Some were just better than others.
