Reviews of Search For Love (1982)

Review by harryhermionerw (2006-04-16)
Search for love is a classic example of separation and learning to love again. In this case, Serenity's mother ran off with her father to America, and they didn't speak to Comtesse de Kergallen ever again. Now the Countess requests Serenity to come over to visit, and Serenity, who wants to know the grandmother she never knew. She was greeted by frigid politeness from Christophe de Kergallen, and she thought she detested him from the second she laid eyes on her. After many rounds of insults from all three people, though the Countess' are much more subtle, they slowly begin to learn to love, and how to be in love. I thought it was a incredibly good book, I enjoyed it very much, for all of the moments that you want to laugh, to slap a character for a horrendous insult, to weep, or be extremely happy. I would recommend this to people.
