Reviews of Articles of the Federation (2005)

At first I wasn't sure about this book. After all, it takes something special to make a book about politics interesting even if the Universe is not as well known as the Star Trek universe, where daring-doing is the usual order of the day.
While DeCandidio's book is perhaps not quite *that* special, it certainly is a good read. While the focus of the action is on the Palais de la Concorde and the people making up the Federation Council - Councilmembers and their staff, DeCandido has hit on the rather neat method of taking us for an outside videw of the goings on via out-takes of a show called _Illuminating the City of Light_, which is very reminiscent of such local broadcasts.
Although it does reference events in other books and films, the publishers, or Mr DeCandido, have supplied a timeline of named Presidents along with the stories they can be found in, whern not in this volume.
