Reviews of Schild's Ladder (2002)

Conceptually spectacular. This is what hard science fiction is all about: speculative physics (the 'hardest' science after all) based on recent scientific research. At the end of the book, Egan even cites the papers and thanks the physicists who were kind enought to explain the theories to his non-specialist level.
There were a few info-dump portions of this book that I had to skim over, but those who've recently read popularizations of quantum theory should be more in tune. On the other hand, if the first few pages don't make any sense, it may not be worth going further.
