Once Upon a Star is not, overall, a stunning book. Somewhat spoiling, though you know all romance novels end up in true love.
Nora Roberts 'Ever After' wasn't really all that good. A woman, wearing a long lost heirloom gets a "boy" to take her to a island, and she winds up on the wrong one, but just happens to find her soulmate and she falls in love. Kinda cheesy, really.
'Catch a Falling Star' by Jill Gregory was probably my favorite story. A woman ends up married to who she thinks is a barbarian, but he really isn't. He's just a man with some wild rumors following him. I thought it was pretty good, actually, though somewhat predictible.
Ruth Ryan Langan's 'The Curse of Castle Clough' was rather boring, really. There were a few good parts, and the ending was great, but other than that, not that good.
'Starry, Starry Night' by Marianne Willman was actually pretty good. It may not be that original, but I thought it was pretty well thought out, though rather murky at times. I was confused for the first few chapters, but then I caught on.
Overall, I was disappointed, but it was okay. I probably wouldn't recommend it.
