Reviews of Girl Who Owned a City, the (1995)

I read this in Grade/Year 8 as part of our English course. I really enjoyed it then, as it was a good story for kids to read about what the world would be like without adults. I think it even makes kids appreciate how easy they may have it when they don't have to worry abouting finding food, having clothes on their backs, and a roof over their heads. This book could even be used to introduce a discussion about homelessness, particularly homeless kids.
