Reviews of Seventh Son (1987)
Review by Corleone (2004-03-17)
A relatively simple tale, told expertly. Some scenes are so powerful and resonant, and each of the characters are crystal clear. The story of an alternate early America is a convincing and fascinating one, all the more so since it involves well-known real historical figures elevated to the equivalent of mythical fantasy heroes. I'm anxious to read the second book in the series.
