Reviews of Tailchaser's Song (1985)
Review by Pandora (2003-03-12)
As a fan of Tad Williams for some time, I read Tailchasers Song a few years back. The story has stayed fresh in my mind since, and that's a rare thing indeed.
The main feline charecters are really well written. They are put through trial and tribulations that pertain directly with their physical states as cats, and there are plenty of nail-biting sections. Also, the felines issues and myth's about Man are very funny. This is a book that could be read by a teenager or an adult and still be enjoyed. As one his first novels (I'd say the first but I've been getting some conflicting information about that), it's a classic example of a good writer whose future work is bound to be (and has been demonstrated as being) loved by many. If you have not read this book, and enjoy good stories or love cats, read it.
