Reviews of Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats (1939)

T. S. Elliot is often considered a revered poet that's hard to understand. You feel obligated to read his stuff, but you don't expect to enjoy it.

Not so with this little volume! Turning away from the modernist styles and trappings, he gives us a book full of wonderful rhymes on cats. It's a really cute little volume, and it IS easy to understand! Even little kids will like it. So go buy this and read it all! My personal favorite is "Macavity the Mystery Cat."
