Reviews of Rebecca (1938)
Review by marflord (2006-06-12)
I picked this book up on a whim, I had read Stephen King's A Bag of Bones, which refers to Rebecca repeatedly. I had also seen the film version some time ago and had enjoyed it. The book was not a disapointment, even with knowing the ending beforehand from the movie. Dame Du Maurier is a brilliant writer. The first chapter alone is worth the price of a book (or a trip to the library). Beautiful and thrilling.

One of my top five all-time favorites.
