Jonathan Raban's romantic portrayal of the City (any city) is full of awe, confusion, fear and love towards mans' biggest creation. Not strictly attached to any one place, it does seem to be mainly concerned with London, though the wandering nature of the writing is disorienting enough to make the reader often forget where they are.
