Reviews of R is for Ricochet (2004)

Kinsey Milhone is hired to “baby-sit” Reba Lafferty, who has just been released from prison where she was serving time for embezzlement. She needs to stay away from drugs, booze, gamblling, and her former employer (and former lover). But it doesn’t take long before Reba starts to slip. Kinsey finds that there was a lot more to the embezzlement than meets the eye, when not only the local cops, but the FBI show up on her doorstep, wanting her help in getting Reba to snitch on her ex. Turns out he’s into money laundering, and everyone's in danger.
The usual enjoyable Grafton, with more about her landlord Henry and his sibs, and Kinsey’s love life.
