Band of Brothers is Stephen E. Amborse's triumph. the story he tells of the men of E Company, 101st Airborne is amazing. These men were all voulenteer group who had the most trying years of their lives. if you have not seen the HBO miniseries produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielburg, read this book first. if you have seen it, than read the book to, to note the differences. i will say that it is the best book to screen trasion i have ever seen. When Ambrose watched it, he was very pleased with its production.

Band of Brothers is an average book, although a little small it gives you a good idea of the european theater of war. The problem is that you finish the book thinking that the "Easy" company was the reason of the Allied victory. "I know they were good, but not THAT good" is the right thing, and the book makes you think they were THAT good.
