Reviews of Merchant of Death, the (2002)
Review by kjjohnston (2006-09-02)
I couldn't put the book down. A compelling storyline and an imagintive twist on time-space travel. The many aspects of the plot weave smoothly back and forth through time and space, linking past, present and future. This whole series just blows me away! Each book in the series intoduces an entirely new world...a new culture...a new population. The classic struggle of good vs. evil with a twist. Bobby Pendragon is a sympathetic character who grows and matures with the series. Sci-fi fantasy aimed at middle-schooolers and young adults, but escapist and oh-so enjoyable for this middle adged granny...and I can't wait for the next installment!
