Reviews of Abarat (2002)
Review by spanishbarbie13 (2006-11-28)
When I fist read the back of "the Abarat" I was drawn to this book. For some reason unknown to myself I had to read Abarat so as to find out what would happen to this young girl in a small town. What I discovered inside the pages of this novel was more amazing than I could have hoped. Not only did this book take me to a world that I had always dreamed of but it showed me a character that anyone can relate to. With the art work done by Clive Barker and the beautiful poetry I was transported into this book and never wanted to leave. With every book the plot thickens and there are turns of events thar you never see coming. All in all I would give this book a 9 or 10. but thats just me. If you haven't read "The Abarat" already I sugest you pick it up and indulge yourself in the fantasies that Clive Braker opens up! All I have left to say is that I can't wait for the last two to come out. I wish the author would hurry up and wirte the damn things!
