After have read the book, all I can say is this book is good for grades 2-8. The story for that age is good but do not read anything into it; do not read between the lines. Nick finds out that there is a drawing contest and the there will be a prize (What that prize is, you will just have to read to find out). He needs a new drawing table as the one he already has in his bedroom is not as good and "will not help him win the contest." Does Nick win the contest? Does Nick get that new drawing table? What does Nick do as a christian? Well you will just have to read to see what happends to Nick and the rest of the family. I will not spoil the ending. Overall, I would recommed this book.
