This book was quite lovely, as are others of Burnett's. Cedric was, of course, adorable and infinitely likable. The story was predictable and perhaps oversimplified, but not the less enjoyable for it. The message that you should use your gifts to help other people rang loud and clear through this story. It seemed so simple when Cedric used his newfound wealth to aid others, and if everyone did just a small fraction of what he did, I imagine the world would be a little bit better.
