Reviews of Fantasies of Robert A. Heinlein, the (1999)
Review by rootbeer (2003-03-10)
There's a blurry line between science fiction and fantasy, and Heinlein proves he can play both sides with this collection of stories. The "waldoes" created in Waldo make an apperance in some of Heinlein's other books, although you probably wouldn't notice unless you've read Waldo. All You Zombies, And He Built a Crooked House, and Magic, Inc. were my favorites of this collection, but they're all highly enjoyable as the full force of Heinlein's powerful imagination is let loose, unrestricted by any sense of reality, to see what he can do with it. A little taste of something different for Heinlein's fans.
