| Vachss is a master of hard-boiled/noir fiction. His Burke series is an amazing journey into some of the darkest corners of society. Beautifully written, spare prose that never fails to engage the reader. And his stand-alone novel Shella is considered by many to be the perfect hard-boiled/noir novel. |
