| I've been a fan of Erdrich's for years, but her most recent novels are almost astonishing. A Plague of Doves is her most recent offering and it is riveting. Her characters are finely drawn, and settings and situations are described in lovely and unique prose. The Master Butchers' Sing Club is another favorite.
I love that characters and families make appearances (and sometimes figure prominently) over several novels.
