| A poor author. Clancy has so sense of character development, and to make up for his one-dimensional characters, he tries to add way too many. This also serves the purpose of allowing for "throwaway" characters to witness the next mindless action sequence that pushes his current novel along until it reaches its disappointing conclusion. Tom Clancy cannot write engaging drama, nor can he thrill his audience. Even the action scenes are dull. It's like watching a run-of-the-mill action flick dragged across 800 pages. And it's not fun. Just stay away from Tom Clancy and read a million other authors instead. |
