| The Garrett Files are a fantastic, whimsical combination of the hardboiled detective novel and a typical fantasy novel.
Garrett, the hardest working private detective in TunFaire, would do Sam Spade proud. He oozes Humphry Bogart. To make things more interesting, all of his clients are elves, dwarves, and pixies, and his partner has been dead for a few hundred years, but is too stubborn to let it affect him much.
These books are quick, fun reads, and Glen Cook manages to keep them interesting. They are unfortunately mostly out of print these days, so scan your local used book store. |
