If Glen Cook had the time to write the Black Company as an epic, this would be it. As complex and nearly as rich in history as Tolkien's work.

I love this series more than any other books that I have ever read. The characters are believable, the magic mysterious and the storyline subtle. Read it for your own good!

I think what makes this series so important for fantasy fans is the scope and perspective of the author. One of the best fantasy series ever, the malazan books of the fallen, touch the readers in a unique way. The author's writting and understanding of human (and not!) nature, as well as their psychology and progress through civilization make these books a must read. Just sit back and enjoy!
