Tempora was not a world like Earth; Tempora was Earth; an alternate-dimensional Earth which nuclear war had reduced to poverty. But Tempora, because of the difference in temporal rates with our Earth, made an ideal vacation spot for Earth tourists. You could save a few hours of consciousness in your time-locker and enjoy a week of vacation on Tempora. But funny things were happening; people came back dead tired from their vacations, and there were fake time-locker receipts being issued...the mob had moved in, and they were buying Congressmen to insure their share of the profits. Something had to be done, and the government's hands were tied. It was up to Arnie Davis, newest vice-president of the P.R. firm of which Mr. Xotl, the Temporan ambassador, was a client, to disarm the situation...
