This chillingly plausible tale takes place in Berlin, 1964, twenty years after Nazi Germany's victory in World War II. The entire country is preparing for the grand celebration of the Führer's seventy-fifth birthday, as well as the imminent peacemaking visit from President Joseph Kennedy
The story revolves around Berlin detective Xavier March, a disillusioned ex U-Boat captain that is investigating what he thinks is a routing drowning. When the dead man turns out to be a high-ranking Nazi commander, March is sucked into a vast conspiracy that threatens to turn up long forgotten secrets of the Nazi's rise to power and put and end to the Third Reich.
