Summary
:
A collection of some of Lovecraft's earlier short stories that show his development as a writer over time. The title story, as well as several others, betray a very Dunsanian influence on the young author, while others are more traditional macabre fiction. Also included is a partial chronology of Lovecraft's early works, a bit of verse titled "Nathicana", as well as a piece ghost-written by Lovecraft for Harry Houdini: "Imprisoned with the Pharaohs".
