The Green Ripper foreshadows cultic goings-on of the 80's and 90's: Travis's beloved may have been assassinated by a strange religious group with international political ambitions, headquartered near Ukiah in Northern California. McGee bumbles into camp playing an indignant father looking for a runaway, and proceeds to wreak poetic vengeance.
