Series: Travis McGee

Summary :

Either Pidge (nee Llewellen) is going crazy, or her cheerful, helpful husband Howie is trying to kill her. Since Trav owes her Dad big-time, he goes to find out which. What's the connection between the Bay of La Paz and the islands of Honolulu and Pago Pago (pronounced Pango Pango) ? Sunken treasure...? Somewhere in the novel MacDonald holds forth about the effects of air conditioning, if you're interested in air conditioning...I certainly am. This was the first McGee novel with its 1st edition in hardcover (yes, that means the first fourteen titles came out in paperback first) from J.B. Lippincott, with Travis' handsome, soulful mug on the cover in all its glory; the painting is by John McDermott.
