On the outside, Pinkerton is a huge Great Dane, but inside he's just a puppy lonesome for his brothers and sisters – until his young mistress brings home a kitten to keep him company. The kitten, Rose, decides she's a Great Dane, and Pinkerton decides he's a kitten. A trip to the pet expo for help leads to chaos as Rose infiltrates the Grand March of the Poodles and Pinkerton moves his humongous hulk into the Castle of Kittens. The text is sparse enough for a child to read, the story and pictures are hilarious and engaging enough to delight adults as well. Ten out of ten for Pinkerton! If there's no child in your life, read it for the child in yourself.
