Summary

When international tensions increase, the problems of survival in the event of full-scale war return to the forefront of our consciousness. Here a new writer takes his turn, with a story told by a twelve-year-old girl who finds herself alive after the bombs drop. It's a grim setting, but as she discovers more and more facts about her startling destiny there's room for hope.
