Sissy Sawyer, the chain-smoking, fast-talking, fortune-telling amateur sleuth, and her daughter-in-law, police artist Molly, return in this follow-up to Touchy and Feely (2007). When an elevator in a Cincinnati office building opens, revealing the murdered bodies of a man and a woman, it’s only the first of several crimes seemingly perpetrated by the same offender—although how one person could commit these crimes, essentially being in two places simultaneously, is a mystery that perhaps only Sissy, with her fortune-telling cards, can solve.
