Summary

Solomon Kane encounters an old comrade from his pirate days, Jeremy Hawk, fleeing through the jungle. Hawk tells him of a large lake in which lie the Isles of Basti, and how he has just been deposed of its kingship. Incomplete fragment unpublished during Howard's lifetime. First published in Red Shadows, Donald M. Grant (1968). Also appears in:
