Summary (From the publisher):

The original edition of Get Me Headquarters was indistinguishable from many of the other American gangster thrillers being published at the time. The cover on the original Kaye edition, showing a beat cop (although he looks more like an SS officer) dragging a dishevelled looking dame into a doorway - presumably the Headquarters of the title, was by the abbreviated F.T., an artist whose work could either be very static and flat and at other times was comparable to the best artists of the time. He often used a vibrant combination of colours although, unfortunately, for Get Me Headquarters he'd filled the background with a lot of brickwork - and no such scene appeared in the novel. Kaye eventually reprinted the book with a more colourful cover dominated by an unconscious dame with her skirt hitched up along one thigh and, disconnected, a cop on the phone - itself disconnected - against the background of a large question mark. For this special Gryphon edition of Get Me Headquarters - which is "Gryphon Gangster Novel #1" in a new series of such books - the great Ron Turner has done an original cover especially for this edition. Turner has brought all the magic of his vibrant colour and style to turn in a hardboiled masterpicec. A perfect match for this tough gangster thriller.
