Summary

In a society where humans have lost the ability to live on the surface of the Earth, they instead live in small cells and spent their time listening to lectures and discussing "ideas." A woman receives a call from her son asking her to visit him at the other end of the Earth, and though reluctant she makes the terrible journey, only to discover that her son has rebellious ideas and has even ventured outside onto the earth.
