Two travellers, Griswell and Branner, stay the night at the old deserted Blassenville house, ignorant of its history and reputation. When Branner is horribly killed, and the fresh corpse tries to kill him, Griswell teams with Buckner, the local sheriff, to uncover the dark secrets of the Blassenvilles...
