Someone has naughty pictures of foxy, redheaded starlet Lysa Dean, and wants to blackmail her—again. McGee has no sympathy for starlets, but he likes Dean's all-business secretary, Dana Holtzer, and wants to warm her up. Armed with a list of guests at the private party where the pics were taken, Travis and Dana seek the identity of the blackmailer, dissecting the scenes at Big Sur, Hollywood, Las Vegas and a trendy New York ski resort in pursuit of the mysteries of human perversity.

This fourth entry in the series introduces photo wiz Gabe Marchman, who will show up later when Travis needs his expertise.
