When a pencil-pusher at Pentex cuts off the Duchy's fuel supply, inadvertantly breaking the treaty between the U.S. and Grand Fenwick, the Count of Mountjoy, unable to get a hot bath or fuel his Rolls-Royce, considers reviving the Q-bomb as a weapon of diplomacy. But when Pentex CEO Alphonso Birelli proposes a magnificent hoax to lower rising oil prices, Mountjoy enthusiastically hires the two most incompetent geologists in Switzerland to prospect for oil in the Duchy. And when Gloriana meets Freddy the Sheik at a discotheque in Paris, the prospect arises of an intimate liason between Grand Fenwick and the OPEC nations. Meanwhile, Dr. Kokintz, asked to think about the energy crisis, has invented bird water...but it is unlikely this will have any practical effect on anything whatsoever.
