Summary
:
Set during WWII, Leonard Wibberley's first novel is, as the cover says, "The highly amusing story of an indestructible lady who had an unusual guardian angel". Mrs. Searwood is a rather eccentric widow who is convinced that the war started because of something she said during a trip to Germany. She is helped along by the ghost of an American Indian who came to England with Pocahontas and died there, and who has occupied his time in the afterlife by sitting in on classes at major universities. The book was published by Little, Brown and illustrated by Warren Chappell.
