Isolated on a farm in rural Quebec with his austere mother, a boy grows up never having seen another human face. He ventures impulsively one day toward the main road where he believes he will encounter another person, resulting in his first outward experience. From then on a silent torrent surges within him and he promises to face the world with brute force.
