Summary
(From the publisher):
The Strabeth family lived in a prison, built on the site of a gibbet. They had a macabre family tradition. Male heirs usually died of a broken neck. Just the right kind of atmosphere for a murderer who knew how to get at the family heirlooms. He might have got away with it if he hadn't killed the chief suspect.
