(From the publisher):
It begins in a haunted house. Tony former street-kid protege of Henry Fitzroy has moved out of Fitzroy's home ans is now a production assisstant on the TV show Darkest Night - a fictional show about a vampire detective. How's that for irony?
The latest episode of Darkest Night is a classic haunted house story, but imagine Tony's surprise when he discovers that the location chosen for the shoot comes with its own special effects. When one of the crew is injured, the malevolent spirits in the house come to life. All the doors shut at dusk and the deaths of the spirits' victims are played out again and again. The pattern follows a grisly theme of murder then suicide, and each one of the multiple deaths is a story in itself.
Fortunately, Tony's burgeoning magical abilities allow him to see and communicate with the ghosts and he is assured the cast that everyone will be set free in the morning. Well, everyone still alive...
